Hello everyone, hope you are all having a great week. I wanted to ask you awesome folk for some advice please.

I recently bought this DW Daytona 6239 from this seller here - https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/conus-c-r-rolex-6239-daytona-rare-david-wong-dw.10988161/

I had it sitting in a drawer for a few weeks, and today I was trying to unscrew it to wind it, but it was so hard. I ended up unscrewing it only to find that the stem with the crown snapped off during the process. So now the whole keyless works stem is stuck inside!o_O

I then proceeded to open the watch, and the balance wheel and spring assembly fell right out with a missing screw:eek:

And finally I notice random holes and damaged gears all over the place:unsure:

I want to fix this watch and would love some help if you can provide it!
1. Do you know what this "mystery movement" is?
2. I noticed assymetrical pushers, but am unsure what if anything that means being that its a DW case. Might this be a concern for swapping another rep movement in there?
3. Do you know if I can purchase a new replica 6239 from a TD and just swap the dial/hands onto that movement?
4. Does anyone know who would be the best or correct person to ask for help in sending this out and having them help me fix it?

Thank you all for everything and your time.

Storm.

Tbf it rather seems like the chrono was tried, the movement suffered (as expected) And someone with "big plans" who doesn't know what he is doing tried meddling with it.

Not insinuating anything. But yea.

The crown has a stem extender in it which is what unscrewed from the stem itself. It was a very minor issue to fix. As it is now the watch is a mess and needs a new movement.

The movement is some sort of half-assed copy of a V23, without actually being much like a V23.

If you do an internet search on DW Daytona then you'll find endless discussions hypothesising what the MM is, what other movements will fit the case etc without anyone ever coming to a solid conclusion.

Do you have all the parts? Was it running when you received it? I'm just perplexed how the entire balance would just fall out. I do see one of the gears next to where the balance was. Looks like it's missing a few teeth as well. Sorry for your misfortune. I remember looking at that piece when it was for sale. I was tempted but whenever I see discriptions like custom movement, I try to steer clear since that means should something break, you're pretty much SOL. Best wishes for reviving it. Probably best off searching and seeing if anyone has successfully fitted another movement using the existing dial. From what trip says above I don't know how much success you're going to have even going that route, but we can remain hopeful for you

Thank you my friend, I appreciate your well wishes. I do have all the parts, and YES it was running fine when I received it. I see that some DW Daytonas have ETA 7750 movements and it looks somewhat like mine. I did message tripdog and I hope that his expertise and kindness can breathe life into this watch again as he might be its only hope. Also I was shocked when I opened the caseback and the balance fell out. Im wondering if the blue screw came undone and lodged itself in the internals, and thats why I couldnt unscrew the stem at all, and caused all these failures in the process. Now in hindseight the correct fixes would have been to notice the stem was locked, and open the caseback, notice the balance is missing a screw and slowly disassemble it all, which is something I do not yet know how to do correctly.
