First, hello to all members of RWI and especially the PAM forum. I have really enjoyed my time here reading the comments and researching the wealth of knowledge on RWI. Also, a special thanks to ALE7575 for his work compiling the reference guide to PAM's I found this information interesting and quite helpful.
A little history on my experience with REP's, I purchased some fake Rolex's from street vendors in China while I was there on vacation. The watches I purchased from the street vendors were horrible, anyone with the least bit of knowledge about GEN's would immediately know these watches were fakes. To say the least, I had written off any REP's as inferior to the cheapest Timex at Walmart and a waste of money.
To be honest, I had never heard of Panerai watches until I found RWI. After doing some research on the dealers and REP's available thru the TD's here on RWI I ordered a couple of watches from Stan at WBK Time. I was blown away with the quality and cost of the watches I purchased from WBK.
Once my comfort level improved I ordered a PAM 162F from TORO. WOW, I know this is not one of the super Rep's but am I a happy camper. The 162 is my favorite watch (for the moment) and gets a lot of wrist time now.
So, my question is which dealer and model has the best value for the money that has the power reserve and date function in a PAM?
Regards,
Ben
