Hello there, new member, soaking up the info

Hey there

I am from the UK, I came across your website after making a stupid mistake ordering a couple of watches from a scam website. I'm about 3 weeks in now and I have learnt what an idiot I was.

The whole thing started with me searching for a very specific watch for my father-in-law upon request, a Breitling B01 Navitimer 46 and then I realised I would love one of these beautiful watches but my taste lay with the Omega Seamaster and the Speedmaster. I don't believe I'll ever see the purchases I made or the money I paid them however I did end up finding this website, and I was quite overwhelmed with the amount of information there is.

I'm still reading up, researching and looking at people's posts trying to decipher all the codes and abbreviations. I will be ordering 2 more watches but this time I am informed thanks to this forum and all of the people in it. I really wish I found this forum before I sent my money there

Thank you to all who have contributed to the information provided for noobies like myself, it is very much appreciated. I am still looking for the watch my father-in-law wanted so I will probably be asking some questions as soon as I feel like I armed myself with enough information.

Most of the information you need to know to start is there. If you're preparing to buy, read the stickies before ordering. When you're finished, you can continue learning by reading the stickies in all remaining sections. If it's stickied, it's important information.

If you intend to sell, read the sales rules and all stickies in the sales section with particular care and make sure you understand each single rule. Sales rules infraction is taken very seriously here. As a new member you are not eligible to sell. Using the sales section is a privilege, eligibility must be earned, make sure you know and understand how.
