I probably have the same story with a few members here. Looking to buy a Daytona, found videos or sites about replicas, started researching, and ended up in this treasure trove of information.
I am from the East Coast of USA.
I have an addictive personality so I tend to collect stuff (cigars, rare shell alden shoes, sneakers) . I own a couple of Omega and some vintage time pieces.
I recently turned 50 so decided to treat myself to a nice watch - ended up wanting a Daytona. Boy was I disappointed. Was so frustrated with the buying experience so went to my old Omega dealer and bought a Speedy Pro. I still called a few AD to have my name put on their waiting list (hahaha). Did the same thing for Submariner. Long story short, I made the decision to rock either a submariner or a daytona. I will be doing a lot of reading before I make a decision on what to purchase and from where. Any suggestion is of course much appreciated.
