Having Trouble with the clasp on my 111

I have the SS band on a 111h. The deployant clasp on one of the sides doesn't lock in well, and it easily comes undone. I can see how it works and that on the other side it locks better.

I think what is wrong is that the two pins snap into the middle of the clasp, and the one that is not locking well is just simply not as far out as the other side. Does anyone have a way to fix this? If I do any type of quick movement with my arm the watch comes un done.

Quick fix = buy a new one (if you can replace the one on the SS band)

I ordered a couple extra with my last order - I think they were $20-30 each, but I have gator bands, not SS.

The two screws are screwed to deployment clasp pushers, one pusher on each side. Their heads are designed to push against the round metal spring balls on the other part of the clasp.
One of the screws could have simply be 'cut' too short in your case, so that its head doesn't protrude enough to push the spring balls to lock/unlock the clasp.
If I were you I'd unscrew the 'problem' screw using jeweller's screwdriver, apply some 'locktite' or even superglue to the threaded part and quickly screw it back into the pusher but not completely - leaving the screw to protrude enough to be able to 'engage' the spring balls.

You may ask - superglue the screw ?...well, keep in mind these are ultimately only rep products with somewhat lesser quality of finish, with much larger margins of error during the production compared to gens. Also, that screw doesn't require unscrewing, once it's in its place it stays there, serving as a push-pin rather than a screw.

my 2 cents worth...:)

Yeah, I think that is the problem.. The problem is they are two short, almost like the spring is sprung....superglue might not help because they need to be longer.

I had the same issue with the clasp on my 111E bracelet, and fixed it with a bit of superglue as described above - trust me it works :)
BTW, those screws don't have springs, they move freely. Not sure if that's the case with gen's, though.

happy 'fixing' :)

cheers,
