HAS VSF updated the 616?

Has VSF updated the 616 Carbotech???, the flaw on the 616 was the "cd" lines in the sundial where there should be none, looking at this blog post I cant see them anymore.... can anyone confirm?

The link you posted is from August 2019 and the watch is advertised as VSF616 V2. I have just gone through some photos and indeed it looks like there are no concentric lines but I think it is just an effect that has to do with the concentric lines being thin and w/o too much space in between them and this makes the subdial appear in some photos like without them.

I have just traded my 979 for the last version of VSF616 and will see what is it about once I have the watch in my hands.

First batch of the V2 have the lines. Hard to spot.

This is another macro shot from one of the latest batches. I may be wrong but the chances are small that it really does not have concentric circles on the seconds subdial

klockjohan indeed the seconds subdial looks w/o concentric circles on yours. Nice to see that. All the photos I compared from recent delivered samples had the concentric circles. Interesting..

Maybe some other member can confirm this, it’s a nice upgrade that brings the 616 near a super rep status?

try using a flashlight (from the phone) and look at the subdial at an angle

klockjohan that looks very good imho. Much better to what I have seen from different samples of what dealers claim to be the last avail. version (V3)

I tried with flash but cannot seem to catch the lines any more visible than the above pictures.
Have to use my wife's pro camera tomorrow.

It is such a nice piece. I bought a 961 but the carbon case on it is not at all as refined as my 616.
