Has anyone tried putting a new style bracelet from a 44mm stlye case like a 312 onto a classic shaped 44mm like a 111?

I think this would look soooooo nice but don't want to drop the 80 bucks on a chance the fit won't be perfect.

I'm really looking for a picture of this if anyone can help and if the fit is perfect too.

The new style bracelet I'm talking about is this one....and yes, I plan to polish it. ;)

Doesn't fit. The new-style bracelets are designed for the PAMs with quick-change lugs, not screw bars and the geometry is slightly different.

..... the geometry is slightly different.

Dont want to sound mean cause im just trying to nail this down but have you tried it? The bars are irrelevant cause they still go throughout the bracelet the same way.

If anyone has a 328 could you take off the bracelet and put it on a older style case and take a picture for me. It would be greatly appreciated.

The 312/328 uses a 1950s case, while the 111 uses a Luminor case. The curvature of the Luminor case is slightly more distinct compared to the 1950s case. That's where greg's geometry comment comes from.

Anyway, I happen to have a bracelet and a 026, which has the same Luminor case as the 111. I'll let you know definitively. ;)

Okay, so here is what I discovered.

It is really a matter of geometry, but not for the case curvature as I initially thought. :frusty:

The curvature is actually the same if not very similar. However, the 1950s case has a feature that the Luminor does not have. There are notches in the 1950s case which allow the end links for the bracelet to grab and assure fitment of the bracelet to the head. You can see it in the pictures below (blue polygon for the 1950s case, red oblong on the Luminor case where the notches are not present).

So unless you machine the case to include these notches, I don't think it's possible to attach the bracelet. The absence of the notches will force the end link to shift just ever so slightly but enough that the holes will not line up to the lug holes. I hope that helps. :)

New. Style bracelet

I have sucsessfully installed the Pam 328 metal strap on my Pam 237. I have also brushed the case and Ihave a Pam 297 now. It was very easy, the original srew pins needs to be replaced with stepped sping bars. What I mean is the sentre of the sping is thicker and has a thinner step down pin. With this bar the instalion is straight forward. Mine has been like this for 6 months with no hassle. Have a look at the spring bars below

I agree completely
We NEED the pics form Kleintito in order to know and judge if the bracelet fits really well the watch.
Please several angles pics, side included.
Perhaps the bracelet fits well the watch but it is lightly loose not having the notches indicated in the interesting pics by mysterio.
Kleintito shoulld check this subject too.
We wll see

Thanks for taking the time to do this! Could I just machine the end inks to match the shape of the new case in your opinion?

He has e-mailed me some pics of his watch with the bracelet. I have already some good and interesting pics, but we need a good side pic that is missing.
Please wait for the Kleintito final pic.

Looks good!

Wat springbars were used?

Hi wat

I don't know becuase it is not my watch. But I think he has used conventional springbars.
I have other pic from Kleintito where you can see the end of the springbar used, before being introduced in the case.
Anyway I think it is worth searching a better option of springbar

I prefer to wear a watch with a metal bracelet.... however a PAM on metal just seems soulless.

Now that Tuttonero bracelet is something I'd like to see. I hope the TDs at least come up with PVD/DLC bracelets to go with the PAMS like the 026K. :)
