Greetings everyone,
I'm happy to find this site. I have loved watches for a long time and just recently discovered the ease with which I could buy replicas. I've only purchased from one dealer at this point and overall I am extremely pleased (Rolex Explorer II, Omega Seamaster, Patek 5740, a lovely Tank Francais for my wife - who was first suspicious and now I can't get it off her wrist - and an 41mm AP). Still figuring out exactly what I like, but I definitely like not overpaying by $10k for a stainless steel mechanical watch that costs $500-$700 to produce!
I'll probably pick up a Sub, a GMT Master, and I am really hoping someone makes a good close of the IWC 41mm chrono. It definitely seems like chronos are the hardest to clone. I was looking at a speedy, and the case looked fantastic but it was very obviously a Seagull movement. It's a pretty movement, but no way it will pass for authentic.
I've been a bit of a stickler for accuracy, so -10 seconds is a bit of an emotional adjustment for me, but I guess I will have to make do.
Thanks to the mods and the creators of this forum. Much appreciated.
