Hey everyone,

Been craving a watch after I lost my old one earlier last year. Wrist felt really empty and I couldn't find watches I was drawn to..at least in my budget as a student.
Found this community through reddit and placed my first order a couple days ago with Hont.

1) Cartier Tank Louis Ref. W1529756
2) Cartier Santos-Dumont Ref. WSSA0022

Here's the QC I got for the Tank Louis



I pulled these Case dimensions from online.. 33.7 mm x 25.5 mm, 6.25 mm thick. Seems close.
Excited to see the QC for the Dumont.

What were y'alls first rep watches and what made you get it? How has your collection/taste changed since then?

Apologies & Thank you! I tried to remove the QC photos but I can't edit the post anymore. I'm actually happy with the watch as it looks great to me. I'll be sure not to post them in the future unless I have a worry about something.

@rolex4me already educated you regarding QC , my advice is to continue reading all the sticky threads in the new members area and learn the basic forum rules and pick up loads of good advice in the process. I'll delete most of your pics leaving one or two exemplary shots.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to @eBoy or myself, we're happy to assist.
Re your final question, it's a recurring one, you may find old threads by doing some research, e.g. using Google (add "...site:forum replica-watch.info" to your keywords). Research is key to happiness here on RWI.
Personally, my first rep was an oyster perpetual black dial, a classic simple watch. I picked a relatively cheap BP factory, just to test how the rep game works. Loved it and still do, runs like the first day.
As for tastes, they sure changed in my case. I was a strict dress watch guy, started loving tool/military watches when I got more into watches. I didn't like chronos or busy dial watches but today I'm pretty much open to anything. The eyecandy section tends to spark your interest for new paths... I'll keep staying away from RM and Hublot though, not my cup of tea, at all...
