Hanging on the wall

I'm tired of all my watch boxes, I have two in the bedroom room and one in my home office. I have a couple briefcases but those are just for spares, future projects and watches I need to sell. So what to do. I have run out of room and don't want to put nice watches in a briefcase. I saw somewhere someone had hung some PAMS by the buckle and that gave me the idea of getting some old wood planks stained dark maybe 24 to 36 inches wide by 12 to 18 inches tall and making a kind of picture frame with some kind of black metal flat j hooks that I could hang 4 to 6 PAMS on. If done right it could be considered art.

If anyone has any ideas or has seen some method of hanging PAMS on the wall let me know:shuffle:

I had the exact same idea too TBH, but didn't want to damage my wall by nailing them in... Was thinking that a display shelf mounted might look as good :)

Our walls are painted white plaster over lath with hard wood floors and lots of old wood furniture I think I could use some black drywall screws to put the boards on the wall, they would have to be stained dark but I think my friend might have exactly what I'm looking for he did a whole wall in his Man Cave and it looks great , I will have to measure but maybe more like 24 X 12 , I bet I could get 6 watches up nicely hanging by the buckles I just need a discrete black metal hook that has a wide flat hook so the watch hangs straight. But I mean someone must have done it already in one form or another????? Anyone? Ideas?

Thanks in Advance

My Dad owned a Paint store when I was a kid and I learned to prep and paint so filling and painting over screw holes is a piece of cake. When I do it you would never know there was a hole there. Flat linen white paint is super easy to touch up and you can do a lot before you have to repaint a whole wall.

If you place them well like a retail store with brass nails or hooks to match the buckles it would look very very nice. Similar to a clothing peg board - but with nails

Found some interesting ideas... most are probably easy enough for a DIY project.

This is my favorite... probably start working on it!!

@Trasher - you can always cut the relatives visit short with a last minute "thing" that you need to address!! lol anyways, keep us posted on how it goes... I was looking for a new watch case, but now they all look so boring!! Weekend project candidate!!

Now looking at it... the hook thing looks like what Hannibal Lecter would do to timepieces!! dismembered bodies... hanging heads... oh my!!
