Hands not lining up correctly on my 111N V3

Hi all together,

i need some help with my new Noob 111N V3. The hands are not lining up correctly when reaching full o´clock.

For example: When time reaches three o´clock, the hour needle doesn´t line up with the three o´clock marker. It will only line up correctly when the minute hand is approx. four to five minutes past the twelve o´clock marker.

Having this problem with my Noob 177 too. Is this an easy fix? Is it doable without the best skills and tools?

Thanks in advance!

The hands need to be re-set (meaning removed and then re-positioned to align with the correct markers). You can only do this if you have the proper tools.

Thx mysterio,

is there a tutorial available, how to do and what tools are needed?

Do you know, how much this would approximately be from a watchsmith or modder?

Replace the hands, for a watchsmith, it's a work that can be done in 20 minutes ;)
He have only to open the watch, remove the movement + the dial, remove the hands, replace ther hands and reassemble all the pieces ;)

It's a simple job to do yourself, BUT it's a job that can end in tears if your not faimiliar with watch repairs. It's all too easy to end up marking the dial, bending the hands etc.

If you are prepared to have a go yourself, you'll need hand lifters, a case opening tool (or a roll of duct tape), some watchmakers screwdrivers, and a dial protector (which you can make yourself)

Probably a good idea to practice first on a broken/cheap/unimportant watch.

I had experience with misaligned hour hand.
What I did was open the caseback, remove the crown to remove the movement.
I just tap the hour hand a tiny bit using my finger nail so it went to the correct position. And that's about it.
But that's my experience. I'm not a watchsmith and I don't have proper tools.

@ phidik: No problems after this "work" with movement accuracy or something else?

Otherwise i would try it this way.

I did this on a rep franck muller (21j?) and IWI (eta2824).
I still own both watches after all these years and they are still fine.

a correctly seated & well fitted hand would be very hard to adjust without taking it out to re-position .. careful doing this as you could damage the hand ... best to remove and re-stall IMHO ..

my 2 cents

regards

Listen to Chriz, he may be a watchsmith wannabe, but he's a damn good one. :)

If you can't live with this "hands problem" sell your pam on the market and buy another one ;)
