Hi Mates :) ,

I'm pretty noob on PAM's environment ,

In the past I have had:

-PAM026K H-factory (I believe second version)
-Pam177 H-factory
-Pam411 KW-factory

I come from the Rolex world, where the ring/tube/crown system is quite safe if greased with silicone grease.

I do these questions because because i want to buy a pam177 or pam056 (both H-factory)

I have three questions:

1) H-factory case, only grease all seals with silicone grease and tightening the caseback , resist to swimming in the pool or diving maximum 6 or 8 meters? (No other special procedures such as glue uv under the glass)

2)The transparent caseback with glass on Pam177 can be a problem if immersed in water?

3)In the past I had a slight problem with the crown-H Factory: when I turned counterclockwise this is unscrewed from steam ... and this is not a good thing. This is a common iusse from H-factory?

However despite this, I look to the opinions of experts in the field and possibly modders and experiences made possible on this type of case regarding waterproofing :)

Thank you! :)

3 of the pams that i had all went into the pool with me. I swim weekly and there were no issues. All i did was apply silicone grease on the caseback oring as well as on the crown stem (outer part, not the inner). my pool is around 1.5m. However, don't take my word for it though, i always remove my movement first and put back the crown, crownguard and caseback together and dip it underwater for a test.

Is there a particular silicon grease that's the best? Thanks for the info.

Most likely your rep will be waterproof and mainly with appropriate greasing

BUT NO features can be assured with a rep. Waterprofing included

If you like to be sure about this matter you would need a waterprofing service and a waterprofing test

Up to you

Thank you! What factory are your pam? Have you closed the back with a professional tool or with other? :)

Thanks for the link of your "how to" ;)

This is exactly what I intended to do :) another question a "ball" open-case may be enough to close a case? (although I think I already know the answer)

You're welcome mate. Sticky ball is enough. I use sticky glove:)
This is H-fac 000 in my link.

Thank you! I've a open-caseback ball for now, but i'm undecided whether to buy a specific tool for 44mm luminor case to tighten the caseback well

Out of curiosity, how many bars / atm has passed your panerai? :)

6 bar. I could probably go more with my tester, but I see no point in that. 60 meters is much more than I actually need my watches to pass.

I didn't swim with PAM yet, but I did with CrPO which passed same test.
