Hi All,
I bought this old beater for about USD$120, it was in a poor state. Case was scratched badly, dial had plenty of patina (as you can see), bezel was a mess, etc. So I pulled it apart, polished the case, and starting designing my build from the various Seiko mod parts sellers.
I wanted something classy but informal and a bit vintage/badass looking.
Movement wasn't holding much power reserve so rather than spending any money getting it serviced I just bought a new NH36A and did the upgrade.
Mod parts:
- Gold Submariner style bezel
- Black/gold & red BB58 style bezel insert
- Double domed sapphire
- New crown with red S engraved
- Gold Mercedes hands
- Leather black strap with red stiching & polished double deployment clasp
Mod parts from NamokiMods & strap from StrapsCo.
All up it owes me about USD$400 and a few hours or so of my time.
