Guess which is gen. 000 or 312

Can you guys guess which one is the gen?
Please guess and point out the flaws.

This is not to test anyone of their knowledge, I already know a good portion of the members have extensive knowledge and a keen eye to spot the reps. Probably better than any other forums. I just simply want to prove a point to a friend.

I can't see anything else besides what smokie and the Wiz have mentioned. But the 000 is on a wrist that's saying "F**k you" so I guess that's gen. :lol:

I don't know enough with such as those pics are,but... I'd say that 'panerai' on the LM(don't know the model #,closest to camera) is in the wrong spot and both bands look cheap. Am I correct? I a learning noob.

The 312 is supposed to be a "super rep" too.
So much for that. And the strap is actually a kevlar look rubber strap which I admit does looks its price but is soooo damn comfortable!!!! Its like tempurpedic on my wrist!!

Cheap strap isn't a reliable tell though. Well, it's a tell, but more on the wearer's style sensibilities rather than the authenticity of the watch head. :lol:

I was just messing with you , I knew what you were trying to prove and you were right, from few feet away it's nearly impossible to distinguish a gen from a fake. At least I wasn't able to see any tells in those blurry pics.

Besides the whole display caseback no in house movement issue?

You cannot even say that the 000 is a gen !!
We have no pics of casebacks, we cannot see the CG, the engravings, the dial fonts, the lume colour...
And you are talking about modds to be close the 312 to gen...

Please post better and several pics and we will continue this GAME.

Yet on ALE's Guide I also quote:
"Since the gen PAM 312 has a special Panerai “Manifattura†movement P.9000, therefore, for the rep it is impossible to be close to the gen with a display caseback. There are reps fitted with Asian Seagull 25J movement and with A7750 appropriatelly decorated.
Although above mentioned issue we can consider all these reps as First Class reps (but please bear in mind the movement issue if you are looking for a big accuracy)"

I realize the caseback/movement issue but the guide speaks NOTHING of Horrible Crown guard, bad AR/Crystal, bad cannon pin, dial, markers, etc....?

This is the same watch - so what gives.....!?!?

As I said earlier, I was just joking. I couldn't see any tells in that pic, to blurry to see anything, but I knew he has a rep 312 cause he posted a thread earlier with it.
I don't think Wiz saw anything either, he assumed the 312 is the rep cause 000 has a gen like cannon pinion.
