I'd posted in my intro thread about buying some watches from a non-TD and before doing any real digging. Impulsivity .....one of my many flaws. Lessons learned. 1 of my 3 watches was as descibed, the second in on the way and after 6,733 emails...looks like it should be a winner too (hopefully).

That leaves me stuck with this garbage Daytona 126500LN Superclone. Well it was the right watch but definitely nothing "super" about it. Took it apart and it has the 7750 in it. I was gonna just chalk it up to a loss, but my son likes it. I like to get nerdy about things, so I figured I'd pull the movement. I'd like to throw a 4130 in it and give it to my kid.

- DD4130 an easy fit? Same stem (unlike upgrading from a VR3235 to a VS3235. I'm doing that swap as well and grabbed the proper stem as I read the VR3235 uses a different 3215 stem......not the topic of this post)

- Should I just grab one from AliEx or is there a parts guy on here someone can recommend?

- I'll probably need a new dial as well....shit is falling off of this one.

- Anyone know the bracelet part number that will fit...this or Jub? This one is far below par.

Definitely not trying to make it a Super...just a bit better for him. I need to buy a loupe or something...these screws are kind of small. The more I look at this thing the more I want to laugh....and maybe just buy him a new one....lol

My camera sucks, the dial isn't that distorted.

Just wear it and enjoy it, don't run the 7750, when it breaks, then just upgrade

There is no easy 7750 to 4130 swap.

Consider the movement diameter is different, hands will be different/not swappable, case will need working to fit it, then question of pushers, crown, etc,

Not worth any effort or money imo. It's like trying to fit a Mercedes engine into a Chevrolet car. Where do you start? Nothing fits.

The 7750 is not bad per se, just stay clear of the chrono functions. They could last a lifetime - or fail on you on first use.

But what's with the marker @3 o'clock though? That would be the only thing bothering me.

Otherwise just enjoy it. Nothing else makes sense. If you want a better one just buy a whole new one from a trusted dealer here on this forum.

Appreciate the replies and that's what I was leaning toward...

It's just the way I think though and figured it would be a fun project top learn on....

I get that.

If you want to tinker, which IS a lot of fun and very rewarding, I suggest you start with parts that are made to fit together from the beginning.
