Got no pictures.......but a buddy of mine just got a Gen panerai....no chronos or date(i think) on the face. The back case is see thru....and he called the dial "cookie cutter" meaning the lume is below the face. Anyone know which model this is..and where i can get a rep of it............just to piss him off?? 8)

Well you have narrowed it down to about 100+ different choices :D This sounds like a sandwich type dial which are some of the more popular Pams called the the Luminors , eg the 111 (this style has a second hand) and the Luminor Base, eg the 112 (no second hand). There are many types but this seems like what u are describing from the limited description. Go to any of the dealers on this site adn take your pic

the face also has only PANERAI below the 12 and swiss made on the 6. No LUMINOR or anything else. All of the rep pams i find have submersible, radiomar, luminor of 1950 on em....

this watch was plain...but did have the panerai flip lock on the crown......

More info please:

1. Material? eg steel, Titanium

2. Finish? eg polished, brushed

3. Crown guard on the:
a. right side (near the 3 o'clock) OR
a. left side (near the 9 o'clock)

4. What about the bezel.. rotatable bezel?

5. Size? tall? grande? venti? (40mm? 44mm? 47mm?)

6. Does it have a sub-second hand or no?

By the way, just by your previous the description alone, I betcha your buddy has a rep :D :D :D
..because I can't find anything that only has panerai under the 12 o'clock that also has a Crown Guard

However, I'm no expert, I just happen to have a panerai catalogue

Remember, the less info you give us, the more likely we'll come out with the wrong assesment..

His discreption wasnt that bad, 112H has SW dial, he just missed it on the luminor thing, although it could be a 176H too.

Getting a watch just to spite your "buddy" now that is NOOB!
