Today i received my new Pam from Toro but as you can see in the pic the pin came out when trying it on.

Should i request a new clasp or is this repairable?
I don't really want to glue it if it's only gonna fall out.
What do you think?

you can get that repaired for as cheap as $20. same thing happened to my Omega speedmaster rep. they just soldered it back in and its been good since.

I think you should ditch the deployant altogether and use Pre-V buckles. But yeah soldering it would work too.

Thanks for your comments chaps...and i understand what you are saying but the question is..why should I have to pay for a new buckle or get this repaired when it is clearly faulty. I only received this today.
If I do need to get just a pre-V buckle....what sort of price are we talking?

Mate, I'm sure Toro will sort this FOC if you want to go through the hassle of posting it back to China and waiting about a month. It'll be between £11 and £15 to post it, you're gambling that it'll get there and back ok and that this isn't an issue that'll be on every deployment in the batch.

My advice would either to be to get your tools and Loctite out or give a local watchsmith £20 to fix it. Both are easier and less risky than sending it back to w'hence it came.

Yeah you're probably right Alex. I certainly wouldn't want to send the whole watch back...it really is great and i love it. I'm just a little disappointed in the buckle...I don't have another strap that fits it so I can't currently wear my new watch..that's sucky.
~~Light bulb moment~~ I've just remembered that I have a buckle off my old Seiko divers watch...I shall make do and mend.

Do drop Toro an email as he is a stand up guy and would want to know there has been an issue even if it isn't really an economical fix. He might even just throw another one in the post for you if you send a picture and explain what happened...

These things do suck but only happen occasionally and it sounds like you've got a short-term plan to allow you to enjoy the watch while it gets sorted one way or another.

Cheers

Yep, I've emailed him with a link to the picture of said dodgy clasp pin. Meanwhile I do have a plan...10 minutes later...On goes my Seiko buckle (a little too small to be honest but it'll do for now).

Blimey, just noticed I need to hoover up my keyboard!!
