Got my first 372 - how to wind it now?

LOL, i know, silly question but since it my first time buying a rep - I don't want to break anything. Do i wind it from top to bottom or bottom to top? because i tried doing it a little from bottom to top - and for some reason the crown sort of rolls back.

wind it up (bottom to top) usually for manual wind u can wind it till it reaches a stage you can wind anymore or hear a tick sound.

Hi, congrats on a fine PAM. First push the crownguard lever from the closed position at reg to the center. Than slowly wind forward while the cg-lever is kept open until You are finished. You do not need to hit the stop, just wind it 20 times, close the cg-lever and see how many hours it runs on 20 winds. Next time try 30, each person winds a bit differently. You may want to hold it to Your ear to hear what is happening when winding (for future reference, if someday You notice something seems different).

thanks guys. i was just a little bit confused/worried that the crown spins back a little when i try to wind it forward.
