Got my 318..wow..but how long will it last

I finally got my pam318 bc i couldnt keep waiting for the 005k. i love everything about this watch and i will be getting some straps soon but i just wanted to see what you guys opinions on these watches in terms of reliability are. How long will this watch last as a daily, not getting beat up but being worn. and how reliable are these movements?

I've heard great things about the movement. I have only had mine for about a month. I do hate having to wind it, but it is what it is.

with good servicing it can last for a long time. just like a "real watch" like any mechanical thing it needs to be looked at from time to time. a gen is every 4-5 years. or... you could wait for the mvmt. to crap out and put a really good one in. short answer if you take care of it a long time

the 6497 is a workhorse, give it the regular maintenance when needed and it will last you a long time.

The movement is practically bulletproof with periodic servicing. the case etc will last a long time as long as you don't beat the heck out of it

it's solid steel. if you have a problem with the crystal you can upgrade. don't worry about it

What straps do you guys suggest for the 318L? The rep PAM strap that came with the watch doesn't fit my wrist....first hole is WAY too far from lug.

That are an unbelievable number of sources for straps. We have any number of strap dealers here on the forum, and there's the official strap list stickied at the top of the main PAM page.

Personally I like a dark brown or oxblood strap on polished cases for everyday wear, but your options are quite literally unlimited.

Instead of making a new thread I'm just gunna ask if anyone has a solution to the strap screws always unscrewing themselves. It's making me crazy

Had to send my 005K back twice, sounds like an anomaly though.
Most seem happy.
