Having the worst experience with Puretime right now. Takes days to get to review the watch, then it's wrong, and then they're off for the weekend, and when they're back it'll take 3 days to get things rectified.

I was wondering if there is another good reputable rep I could get this watch from: PAM195 SE A6497 on Black Leather Strap

http://noobwatch.com/product/PAM195-SE-A6497-on-Black-Leather-Strap

Thanks.!

Hi levosgien

Well , firstly welcome to RWI from Spain

Puretime is one of the best dealers here.
I didn't understand exactly your problem, but I think that you are not beeing patient enough.
Puretime has one of the best customer service here, if you are no happy with Puretime you can be unhappy with the most of the dealers.

What is your real problem and what are you looking for??

If you need more info read the PAM GUIDE:

Ale7575, thanks for your reply. I've been a reader of the forum for a while and have a purchased a watch here from a member, happy with it very much.

Puretime does seem like a good rep, my problem is that I had to wait 3 days after my order to hear back from them, then when they sent me pics they had gotten the bracelet wrong (wrong color). Then when I replied to them they were out for the weekend, and told me that once they initiate the change it'll take another 3 days. In total it's over a week to get it shipped, and at no point are they able to tell me that they understand and will do their best to ship it asap, or upgrade shipping to make up for their mistake etc...

You are probably correct, I am probably not patient enough, but this was a present for xmas and I thought that with 2 weeks to spare I would be in good shape.

Thanks again for your reply.

That can happens with all dealers.
Dealers are not responsible of your present problem, they (no one) will not bear in mind your problems about that. You are buying a watch of 200-300$ you are not buying a 12.000$ gen over a red carpet.
Please, that is not a dealer problem, with all my respects this is your problem and the delaers are no prepared to get such a solutions.
If you cannot assume that you should change of hobby my fiend.

Please, one week!!! and you have claims !! and you say they were out for the weekend...what do you want !!!
I'm placing now some orders and I assume I will not have them before 7 January !!
Patience: first rule in this game- If not you will get insane !!

Dealer is not responsible for messing up my order? Wow the bar is really low. I should expect to be sent pictures of the wrong order... I don't expect that when I buy a 2$ pair of socks off of eBay... I have trouble believing that there are no reps out there with an online store who can fulfill orders correctly.

Hey you know what thanks for your help but your'e missing the point.

If they had said "We made a mistake with the order we will work to get that resolved" it would have good ok.

However you look at it $280 is a good amount of money, it's be nice to be able to get decent customer service with it. Nowadays that's pretty standard, especially if you're not just a rep but a a fully-working Online Store.

If anyone else wants to chime in great, but looks like my expectations were a little high.

Thanks again.

We all would like a better service from the dealesr, but things are like that.
We can modify things step by step and we are working on it everyday.

Yes I think at this moment your expectations were a little high.
And, besides, you are dealing with one of the best.

Sorry to say that.

You should consult the PAM GUIDE
"Reference PAM REVIEW-GUIDE" - Replica Search, Identification, Evaluation & Selection

Anyway to do all more confortable for you, you can see below the extract from the PAM GUIDE for PAM 195

Note: DSN is Davidsen

PAM195-deficopiar.jpg

EVALUATION: (*) FIRST CLASS REP (regular dealers and DSN reps, Att. Trusty Time rep, see comments)
The PAM 195 is like a PVD coated version of a PAM 005. See more related watches in PAM 005.
The gen PAM 195 was a Unique Edition of 200 Pieces made in 2003 for the members of Paneristi.com. Potentially the most contentious special edition ever, the PAM 195 was concieved as a "collectors only" watch. Basically a standard Luminor Marina, the watch also sports the original OP logo on the dial, and a PVD case. What makes the watch unique is that the name of each (original) buyer is engraved on the caseback. This watch has a beautiful dark grey pencil lead PVD colour.
The OP Logo is made up of the letters O and P which of course stand for Officine and Panerai. There are also two arrows in the logo - one pointing up and one pointing down-. These refer to the fact that Panerai was a specialist in manufacturing underwater products and landing aid systems. The down arrow referred to the under water (diving) products, the up arrow referred to the other tools.
The high price and collectible pre-Vendome 5218-201/A, 5218-209/A and PAM 000-005-318-195-360-380-424 are the only available Panerai watches with the legend OP Logo.
There are replicas from regular dealers and from DSN. This last version rep from DSN has even three types of engraved names in caseback. They all are First class reps.

... I've been a reader of the forum for a while ...

Why and where's a good place?

Something doesn't adds up here....
What's really obvious is that your lacking patience, and due to that you didn't do the reading you should have.

Anyway, Ale is a great member and he's taking time to help you trying to explain to you how things work.
You're dealing with Chinese people who do not have the same culture has American, Australian, European, etc...
Chrismas, that's important for you, they do give a sh!t about it, on the other hand you'll probably very upset around February when no dealer will be answering you, Chinese new year is extremely important for them.
Don't expect to trade with people on the other side of the planet has you would deal in a local shop.
Don't forget about time zone, either, it doesn't facilitate business.

Be PATIENT, is really the best advice that anybody could give you.
If you're impatient by nature, change or get yourself a Seiko or a Casio from a local shop and quit immediately.
On the other hand, if you decide to stick in, everything will end up great a the end and I can guaranty you that you'll deal more with Angus at Puretime that you've ever deal with anyone else in your life.

Thanks Ale. I have read the guides, but I must admit I'm not all clear about everything. I try to go through the forums, read up on awards for reps I like, then research recommended dealers.

I finally heard back from Puretime today after 4 days but it'll be another 24h before I head back, I guess it would be nice if they could pm via the forums or have a phone number (their live chat seems reserved for sales).

Spboudart: I've used and recommended this forum for over two years (forgot my first account) but the three watches I've bought have been from members in Europe and the US...transactions were clear and simple every time, I guess that's where my unpleasant surprise came from when dealing with a rep directly for the first time.

I completely understand cultural differences, I've purchased from and dealt with Chinese individual and companies, and have rarely had this disappointing an experience. But again, it seems my expectations for reps need to be curbed.

?.... looks like my expectations were a little high.......

ummm.......yes. You gotta learn to chill when dealing with dealers. In my experience, if you want a watch by Christmas, early November isnt early enough. ;)

Heheh good to know thanks. I think I found that out and that's not a problem. The customer service I was disappointed about, when you make a mistake you acknowledge it and try to make up for it...nope. That's fine too, I guess that's what happens when you've got the handle on the market. No worries lesson learned.
