Hi and welcome to RWI! Glad you found your way here.
I sense some affinity to our esteemed @Dave2302 , without the "retired" part.
Please take some time to read the sticky threads in the new members area (all subsections), learn the basic forum rules and get some very good advice in the process. A number of questions has already been answered there, this is just an example:

Another good thread to read to understand where RWI comes from and some fundamentals is this:
Most of the information you need to know to start is there. If you're preparing to buy, read the stickies before ordering. When you're finished, you can continue learning by reading the stickies in all remaining sections. If it's stickied, it's important information.
If you intend to sell, read the sales rules and all stickies in the sales section with particular care and make sure you understand each single rule. Sales rules infraction is taken very seriously here. As a new member you are not eligible to sell. Using the sales section is a privilege, eligibility must be earned, make sure you know and understand how.
For anything else, feel free to reach out to @eBoy or me, we're happy to assist, advise, direct, explain. Don't hesitate.
Don't be afraid to post noob questions in the new members area. In doubt, use the flame free zone. If you feel uncomfortable anywhere in the new members area, please reach out to @eBoy or me. Mutual respect is of utmost importance to us. On the other hand, we're grown-ups and are supposed to be able to deal with a bit of irony, don't take it personally, ever, a bit of irony never harmed anyone. If you laugh at jokes, you'll make friends faster.

I think most of us old skool motor trade did, and still do have a fascination with all things mechanical, hence the Watches too.
I should retire from the motor trade now, fed up with it and now a 62 yr old grumpy old fucker.
I was fortunate back in the flying days, was into boats too, a guy I used to barefoot with at our boat club got me into the Planes.
There was him, (Car Dealer) and myself, (Auto Trans and Vehicle Electronics business), an MOT Tester garage owner, and another car dealer who owned and shared the plane as a syndicate, which meant 1/4 the cost of outright ownership.
We were all good mates and most times we'd be flying somewhere together for a lunch in France / insert whatever, it worked well.
Boats and Bikes, I owned many, Cars lol, still into them although I've just got rid of a couple of the Mercedes to thin my fleet down
Anyway, thanks for the reply and hope you are enjoying being here, I've learned a lot exponentially since being here almost a year now.

I'm 64 retired but I still work on friends & neighbors cars and trucks. As long as I'm not having to do it everyday (going to work) I enjoy it. I have had motorcycles all my life... shortly after the womb a Keystone mini bike. Today I ride a 2006 1600 Vulcan Nomad. It only ever needs Gas & oil changes @ 135k. My love for boats was enforced by my grandfather who had a 35ft wooden trawler style made by Boeing back in the day. I spend my spring, summer and early fall in Banff National Park with my worser half and a Starcraft Islander fishing Lake Trout and Browns in Rockies. I am exploring watch mechanics now as I find it fascinating with a we bit of voodoo. Thanks again for the warm welcome.
