Well I decided to use a 26 for the case for my 218a.

The good news:
The dlc does not split or crack when drilling. Still nice and clean

The bad news:
The crown tube will NOT come out. WONT. There is a huge difference in how its wedged or epoxied in there compared to the noob factory.

Can you drill out the tube, or is it screwed in/threaded?

Have you tried sticking a soldering iron tip in it and heating it up to loosen the glue/epoxy?

Haha actually I was on a role once I got in the groove. Learned to drill pre-v lugs and remove a crystal, as well as how to remove a crown tube.

the 026...thats a whole different story!!!

Can you drill out the tube?

Eh, I guess. Means you have to fabricate a new one which would suck. Unless someone here can?

That would suck. I'm sure it would be do-able, but I incorrectly assumed you were trying to replace the tube or something.
