The creation process of this watch has been a fascinating journey. I collaborated with @tripdog , a genuine watch master, who made significant modifications to the steel base to achieve a more authentic and comfortable look. The case was reduced from 15 mm to 13.5 mm, providing an ideal thickness and exceptional wrist integration.
The next challenge was the gold plating process. @Nikz19 helped me with this part... Initially, we planned to plate the case, bezel, and hands. The case and bezel was successfully plated, but the hands did not accept the color, leading me to search for a supplier who could provide these hands. This process required patience and dedication, but the final result is impeccable.
Unfortunately, during the plating process, issues arose with the chronograph movement, so it currently does not function. I wouldn’t recommend trying to repair it, as it’s easier and cheaper to acquire a new movement. However, the watch still keeps time accurately and has a good power reserve.
I have taken great care of this watch; I’ve hardly used it (scared to use it in public) so it has been stored all this time. Although it has been a journey filled with obstacles, I believe the result deserves to be enjoyed by someone else, which is why I’ve decided to sell it.
