GMT options?

Hey guys,

Totally new to the PAM section and I'm looking to get my first one. My current interest is to obtain a GMT model (of any form) and was wondering if I could get some suggestions from the pros.

I've had my eye on on the 329L for some time now...any feedback? Does it come in rubber? Is it an accurate rep vs. gen and what's the reliability like?

I skimmed thru Ale7575's reference guide but didn't see anything about this 329L. Most of what I own right now are Rolex and Omega frankens so I would be interested in a reasonably accurate Pam. If I'm totally off and this rep is a no go I was thinking of just pulling something off the Super Rep list and wearing it as is...

Based on the research I've been doing, sounds like the 029 tuxedo dial is a good option too?

hi om3ga, the PAM 329L from puretime is from the same maker as their best version PAM 312L and was a special project initiated by Angus.

This version is known to have "h-factory" like qualities, and ALE would've put this in the super rep category if not for the movement (the gen has an Panerai inhouse movt that the factory can't replicate at the moment). I've had the PAM312L and I would think the 329L should be in the same league, which is very good out of the box.

Personally, I would get DSNs 023a GMT if I'm shopping for a PAM GMT watch.

I was just scoping out PTs 088 GMT ultimate and I have to say, this is a sexy watch...lovin it!

So when I narrow it down, the two that I'm seeing as my favs would be:

PAM088
(PTs GMT Ultimate Edition)

Note: there's also the H-Maker Colorless AR Edition on Black Rubber Strap. Not sure if this is a better route.

Price: $428.00 (expensive, but worth it? The H maker models $100 less...)

Option A: ultimate

Option B: 088 less expensive H maker option:

*Theres more of a green hue to the markers on this one...

(N-Maker Transparent AR Best Edition on Rubber Strap Updated)

Price: $288.00 (much cheaper than the guys up top)

I did choose the 088 (H maker last V.) because the tuxedo dial on the 029 / DSN 23A for me is a little bit too much... but I didn´t see it in real life! But nice too of course!
Swiss or not - hope my asian mvmt is also ok for that money. Should be next week here.

In addition to the above notes, the 029 is classified as a SUPER REP and the 088 is a first class rep...may 029 be the one?

The Pam029 is my first choice, be aware of the updates coming soon from the noob maker with improved cg, dial and crystal make it one of the super rep pam gmt's.

The Pam237 and the Pam088 are both nice watches as well, just a bit more flawed than the 029m but still very good.

I've had all three and my choice would be
1. 029m
2. 237
3. 088

Thanks for posting those pics. No sweat about the photos. Honestly its always better to see owner supplied photos over the TD's imo. I'm really feeling the 029. Whats the timeline on this updated version you speak of? The 088 is definitely a busier dial. I guess the thing that deters me from it at this point is its sooo much more expensive than the 029 and the 029 is a slightly more accurate rep. I wasn't crazy about the tuxedo dial at first but its really grown on me.

I would expect it to be three weeks before the new 029m is released, with the PAM104 and 164 just coming out the 029 and 111's get moved back a bit. Im sure one of the TD's may have insight on when this updated version is coming.

IMHO, should be worth the extra wait.

I hear they are churning up some really nice models including the PAM360 Noob, just a few more tweeks and it should be available soon from what I hear.

I would go for the 088 Ultimate as 1st option. 2nd is the 029M with swiss movement and outer AR removed.

The PAM 029 continues as a Supe Rep from Noob
