Hi, I would be very interested in commissioning a trusted watch smith to build a 1675 replica...
I am based in London England and I am ready to move forward now.
Vintage looking 1675 replica. Am happy to discuss specification choices and payments.
If anyone knows a trusted watch smith who might like to raise some funds I would be most happy to talk to them.

Many thanks...

You may want to think about your budget - this can go from $500 for a simple build to $2000 + for something with gen parts.

Yep, my budget starts at about £500 but could double if opportunity for improvement arose...

500 pounds budget your man is @yodog in the US. Or @tripdog in EU.

If you want to go crazy and 1:1 gen stuff in the several thousand USD+ range, look at my thread below.

These replies have been so helpful. I really appreciate everyone taking the time to point me in the right direction...

@TheSociety literally breath taking. These replica works of art the probably the only way a layman will ever get to enjoy some of these vintage watches. The price of originals has become quite prohibitive... The research, patience, work and skill are a real credit to all involved.

I've been interested for a little bit as well. I have trouble deciding on the right budget. On the one hand, TheSociety blurs the line between gen and rep and makes absolutely outstanding pieces! On the other hand... budgetary prudence, utility optimization, haha... The most important first question is budget, surely.

I've been trying to get a 1675 or 16710 on here for four years. A lot of them seem to have issues, though. Why can't anyone make a GMT rep with a datewheel that lines up? I almost bought a gen on saturday night and at the last moment I figured out that the guy was scamming me with someone else's photos. I found the original seller and emailed him and he freaked out. I lost $200 on a strap to the guy, but I'm glad I didn't lose $6,000 on a watch. So now I'm back here looking for GMTs again. I am willing to pay top dollar but I keep missing them somehow.

There's plenty of people on here that can put together a nice GMT for all of you. Good bases are with the Cartel, with PCG mod you can have a nice early gilt dialed PCG small GMT hand.

Or, use a Squared CG case and go with a later matte dial with all red seconds or regular gmt.

The best is the use of a Phong/Vietnam case with the correct engravings and caseback, true square or PCG/eagles beak crownguards. Add on a wso or clarks bezel assembly, gen crystal, gen and correct 5.3MM crown. Find a vietnam gilt dial or even Gen dial (@tripdog for that) and you got yourself a fantastic GMT.
