Thanks for sharing!

Interesting - I have been looking at this watch for quite some time. However, this version is missing the sandblasted finish. Like this, it is just a random Milgauss case with a funky dial…

This is what it is supposed to look like:

PS: could someone edit the thread title? It will be hard to find like this ;)

I think that's no issue.

The only way you could make this before hand was with a custom dial and custom hands which would have run you $300 minimum. On top of the GMF Milgauss base is another $450. So total $750 for a custom one. And then you also would have to sandblast it which is $150.

Now you can buy this GMF as a base and just get it sand blasted for like $150 total. And less hassle.

Happy to see it.

From what I know, easy if you have the correct machine. There's also things to consider such as the strength/PSI, sand used (bead size for sand machine actually impacts finish, etc)

There are also really really cheap methods if you look around.

But I think this kind of work is best left to professionals. In my eyes there could be many things that go wrong with DIY sandblasting haha.

Im not sold on it if I'm honest, I like the Milgaus and the polished verison I think looks a bit better, the matt finihs kinda looks a bit cheap, like a poor Amazon copy (I'm on about the gen here). I kinda like the gooky idea around the dial but I fear it would be shortlived in reality. I guess its less important these days to be able to read the time as most people carry their phones or wear a smart watch on the other wrist

Wow this looks pretty good - Nice to see them working on the fun builds as well as the popular models. Is the gen bezel sandblasted then!?

Id like a custom version with Pate instead of Late on the dial now! And will forever only see Pate on it! It would be cool if RO offered some more crazy dials as and add on service so they could be swapped out from time to time!

This sand throwing technique looks like so much fun!
