Hi folks, I bought the JKF 1680 from Marv and love it! The only problem is since I popped off the bezel and replaced the crystal (Clark in my case) and even with the retention ring pushed to its limit, the whole assembly including the crystal comes off with little effort. I don't plan on going swimming with this watch, but I think even washing my hand may cause a leak. I was thinking of gluing the crystal down and would like any feedback, including if this is a good idea. I don't plan on doing any more front-end modding so I won't need to get the crystal off in the future. Thanks again.

I'd be very careful applying glue to the base of the crystal, it can creep up inside between the rehaut and inner edge of the crystal.

I would use a mild, easy to remove glue to seal the base of the crystal - GS Hypo is ideal. If you're happy with the result (no glue visible on inside of crystal) then use some 2 part epoxy to glue the crystal retaining ring in place on the case. Let it cure fully without the bezel ring in place before reassembly.

You can use hypo cement for that purpose
