I have a ladies aqua racer that I can't get the back off. I've used balled up duck tape but no luck any other ideas?

I got it but let's say some pliers were involved. Now I can't get the stem to come out.

This thread should be renamed my quest to fix my wife's POS quartz tag

Quartz watches usually have pry off case backs. Did hers?

Post a picture of the movement and we'll figure the stem release out.

I appreciate it.

Been crazy, arrived with spot on dial, it was a screw off caseback but I'd swear the hulk put it on and now this stem thing. And if I figure this all out I have to try and put the second hand back on that fell off in shipping.

There is a small hole just below the stem with an arrow. I have put everything possible in that hole hoping to pop the stem out.

Usually on quartz movements the arrow tells you where the release is but that hole looks pretty far away from the stem. I'm not seeing any other clues on that movement. Offshore does a lot of work with quartz movements. Maybe a pm to him might solve the puzzle.

You could try a little exploratory surgery and loosen that screw right next to the stem a little and see if that has anything to do with the stem release.

This that it?

That's one of the two screws that holds the movement in place.

Try pulling the stem in and out. Look for anything moving whilst doing this. I am going to guess that a lever will poke out the side of the movement somewhere near the stem going in. Then you will push the lever down.
Also look along the "sides" of the movement. sometimes a lever is recessed in there, and can't be seen from directly above.
Just look for movement, and where you see that, you will find your button.
Could also be the screw above the one adjacent to the stem going in. The closest one holds the cover down by the look of the indent, so you could try that other one, Don't unscrew it more than 2 turns.

Let me know if that doesn't work and we will investigate further.

I tried the screw no luck.
I pull the crown out and push in and I can see something moving, but no lever pops out so nothing to depress.

You have to be F***ing kidding me. I push the crown all the way in and push in the hole with an arrow and it slipped right out. Now to put a damn hand on.
