GF Factory back in action?

I would like to purchase a Breitling SuperOcean Heritage II Rose Gold / SS. The obvious choice is GF. Last week I contacted three reputable dealers, all I have bought watches from over the past 20yrs.

Two said no GF right now wait, one said they can get it. Can anyone here verify the GF factory is back?

The last thing I want to do is buy an OXF Heritage that is being sold as a GF.

Since last fall I ordered 5 watches from GF. The most recent arrived on Feb 3, 2022. If they are out of stock I leave my order in place and wait. I never choose something else. I just wait as long as it takes.

I'm looking for a GF Chromomat B01... ordered a two tone / grey dial from TT, was just told maker cannot supply. I asked if other versions were available, still waiting to hear back. If not, will probably get another watch and keep check on availability rather than wait indefinitely.

I ordered my GF Chrono B01 grey dial, Rose Gold bezel Nov 27th. It arrived Feb 3rd in USA. It was worth the wait. Any of the GF Chrono B01's are worth buying while you wait for the RG version

Well, it appears GF is making watches again. My guess would be in a limited capacity however. This may explain why some dealers can get them and some can not.

I went a head and ordered the GF Heritage and was assured by the dealer that there are new GF watches being made (I also verified this from another dealer)

I’m glad to hear GF are back up and will be interested if new models are going to be produced.

I was fortunate enough to pick up a SOHII blue RG M2M as I couldn’t get one from a TD…stunning watch…I hope they do the 44mm version.

Funny though I thought the SS version was ok after having 4 different ones but the SS/RG bezel version blows it away.

*Update* I guess GF is NOT back in action. I paid the dealer who checked and said they could get me the GF SuperOcean Heritage ss/rg. After waiting two weeks for QC pictures, I contacted them and asked for an update.

They replied that they could get the watch now and refunded my money.

Bummer...

GF is operating but not all models. I ordered a Breitling Bandit Ti by GF on Jan 19th. It shipped on March 7th. I should see it in 10 more days. I also ordered a Breitling Chronomat B01 from GF on Jan 2nd. It arrived on Feb 3rd. Everything is just slower. If you want a specific watch you may have to wait for months. I am used to the long waits to get what I want.

I just approved a GF Navitimer about 4 days after sending payment. What a pleasant surprise in these days.

The plan is to swap out the B logo for a set of wings. I often think I know better than the manufacturer, lol. Maybe not but I do know what I like. That's one of the best things about reps. Comments welcome on which color wings work better with this model.

I bought a Gen one 20 years ago you could build the watch in those days so face, hands ,bezel strap clasp not any more the salesmen don't know what i am talking about will post a picture

By bezel, you mean the white plastic ring right?

If so, all you have to do is push the glass out from the inside. The bezel then just sits underneath the gasket and can be picked right out and replaced.

Awesome thanks bro. Yes, the white slide rule scale. But now I am thinking of just swapping everything - the bezel, crystal and insert. So we'll see how it goes.
