GF Avenger GMT bracelet resizing

Just received my GF Avenger GMT but I need to resize bracelet. I can remove the bracelet screws but how do I remove the bar/tube that the screw goes into, to remove the link as it doesn't seem to want to push through.

Here is a link that will show you how the bracelet link is removed. It also helps to give a new bracelet a Baby Oil bath overnight.

Also, take a photo of your watch with the deployant open so you put everything back together the correct way. The photo will save you from doing it twice.
