I really need help from some experienced Breitling lover with sharp eyes.

I was contemplating the idea to upgrade my beloved Avenger Bandit to a gen. In order to coonvince myelf I took some pictures, compared to gens from Breitling and Chrono24 and looked for clear differences that could justify the use of money.

Well that almost shocked me. I could not spot one single clear difference! Of course keep in mind that unfortunately colours gets screwed up by the camera, but I actually compared that in a Brietling shop and it is very accurate anthracyte grey.
So here is the first set of pictures. Gen on the left (from Breitling site) and my GF rep on the right:

Here is another comparison with a gen from Chrono24 (just because the colour matches a little better):

Here I need help of somebidy more trained than me. I can't spot any significant difference. All numerals and logo are elevated as in the gen. Fonts seem to be spot on. Everything is aligned perfectly. Am I missing anything?

Of course the little "B" mark left on the bezel is there on the GF too. It is so small that I can barely see with my eyes and the camera has very hard time focusing on it, so this is the best I can do (gen still on theleft)

Looking on the side of the crown apparently also all seems OK, but....

I finally noticed something different. The small screws in the bezel are sunken in my GF and not in the gen. Could it be the sign I was looking for?

I did a small survey of the Bandits on Chrono24. All the watches that I am quite sure I can trust (either from commercial resellers or including the original papers) do not have sunken screws. Some of those from private resellers or without papers do have sunken screws.

Probably to thin a background to make any conclusion but I would love some help and some comments from members more expert than me.

Thanks

@surf First of all, thanks for helping out. Yes I know the one on the left is legit. But I was looking for details that show the one on the rigth (which I own) is not. Going legit is quite an investment and I would rather do that for the watches in my collection that are more evidently replicas. As I wrote, beside the small screws a little too deep in the bezel (and I am not even sure if that proves anything) I can't see any obviious signs that gives my replica away, unless some more expert eyes can point me to that.

So I need some help here. Is my replica on the rigth is a keeper?

100% keep the rep, I would not invest in the gen unless you want the gen movement as opposed to the rep A7750.

I had the same dilemma, the Breitling rep SOHII 42mm was so good I sold my gen SOHII 46mm and then bought a gen tag heuer Monaco… ever looked back

Just my opinion.

@Thatwatchguy Thanks mate. Kind of I am leaning that way too. I don't think anybody will ever ask me to open the back of my watch, and the A7750 works really fine (except that when the rotor spins it sounds like a drone taking off 🤪). I have a Zenith Defy Skeleton and a Omega AT Worldtimer for which there are really no good replicas. Maybe I will concentrate on those.

Well at least I hope the pictures will help anybody else looking for a Bandit superclone.

On my GF Bandit I too was disappointed with the sunken screws. I even tried to loosen them but it became obvious that the bezel could fall off, so that wasn't a solution. I also found the print quality of the date wheel font a bit disappointing. Still, neither flaw was enough to make me even consider a gen.

Hi,

This watch has been heavily discussed before. (Look it up or use the search function).
GF's version is a superb watch. But, Yes there are some things to look for.

- It needs a prof crystal
- the pushers on the rep are slightly further out. (Only visible sbs)
- on the older versions the lume dot was wrong.
- some models might have a wrong date wheel.
- and yes, the screws are a little to far in the bezel.

Super rep? No, but almost íf you swap the crystal imo.
