I really need help from some experienced Breitling lover with sharp eyes.
I was contemplating the idea to upgrade my beloved Avenger Bandit to a gen. In order to coonvince myelf I took some pictures, compared to gens from Breitling and Chrono24 and looked for clear differences that could justify the use of money.
Well that almost shocked me. I could not spot one single clear difference! Of course keep in mind that unfortunately colours gets screwed up by the camera, but I actually compared that in a Brietling shop and it is very accurate anthracyte grey.
So here is the first set of pictures. Gen on the left (from Breitling site) and my GF rep on the right:
Here is another comparison with a gen from Chrono24 (just because the colour matches a little better):
Here I need help of somebidy more trained than me. I can't spot any significant difference. All numerals and logo are elevated as in the gen. Fonts seem to be spot on. Everything is aligned perfectly. Am I missing anything?
Of course the little "B" mark left on the bezel is there on the GF too. It is so small that I can barely see with my eyes and the camera has very hard time focusing on it, so this is the best I can do (gen still on theleft)
Looking on the side of the crown apparently also all seems OK, but....
I finally noticed something different. The small screws in the bezel are sunken in my GF and not in the gen. Could it be the sign I was looking for?
I did a small survey of the Bandits on Chrono24. All the watches that I am quite sure I can trust (either from commercial resellers or including the original papers) do not have sunken screws. Some of those from private resellers or without papers do have sunken screws.
Probably to thin a background to make any conclusion but I would love some help and some comments from members more expert than me.
Thanks
