Getting my 1st PAM!

Just wanted to say im going to be buying my first replica and first PAM. Decided on the PAM111v3 Noob. Please dont get mad at me for starting this thread because i do see other people with similar posts.

I contacted Toros through his website http://www.torobravos2014.com. Waiting on his reply if he has the watch available. Whats the best way to contact toro?


Also i see Intime with the PAM111v3 noob for $30 less. Is it the exact same version as toros? Looks the same to me? Im not sure but i think i also read in some other posts before about problems with Intime? Just waiting for either seller to reply back right now. I dont mind paying $30 more if service is really good.


I was thinking to choose the black leather strap to go with the PAM111. Anyone get this strap and how is the quality?
Im looking at this all black strap from Heroic18. Would this strap be much higher quality than the replica black strap?

Just about any strap will be better than the rep strap. Heroic 18 are nice. Loads of custom makers in the dealer list on here. I can personally recommend Bakeka handmade straps in Italy.

The Heroic 18 black leather strap is about 100$
Snpr black leather strap $175
Toshi leather strap ~$150
Gunny leather strap ~$150

So many different options and not sure which one is best for me. Its so hard to decide. I cant see or touch the different leathers so not sure how it would be like in person.

Also looked at Mario Paci, really like the distressed grey strap with white stitching. $209

I think i will get the pam111 with rubber strap. If the replica black leather strap is no good, there is no point to get it. Might as well go with rubber strap. Then i can find myself a good black leather strap and probably a brown leather strap as well.

I dont know leathers too well but are the straps that cost 180-200$ that much better than the 100$ straps?
Example horween leather strap $180 vs $100 heroic18 italian leather strap.

Is the horween really that good? I googled horween and there are distributors selling horween like $30 for 15x15 inch. Thats so cheap! I thought it would cost more?

If im willling to spend $180+ for horween leather might as well get a mario paci strap for about $210?

You'll get a really nice strap from Bakeka for a lot less than that. Around 60-80€ delivered. Lovely Italian leather, hand stitched and incredibly thick and soft.

I was looking at bakeka straps. He does some nice work! His prices are pretty good as well. The prices convert to about $100 USD so its about same as Heroic 18 strap costs. I am looking for a nice black. I actually like the look of Toshi's black leather strap but it costs a little more around $150 USD.

The heroic black leather strap is made by italys finest leathers? The leather would be similar to Bakeka? I think it looks pretty good in pictures too.

Heroic 18 are made in the Far East, so there is no guarantee of the leathers origin. They are nice straps though. Bakeka is in Italy

If you won't wear rubber strap, rep asso is pretty good quality too. At least I'm satisfied with mine but I read good comments from other members about it.

Buy the watch with Rep Rubber strap, almost the same as gen, then buy a custom leather strap from a strapmaker
In this way you will get two good straps

Yes im pretty decided to get the rubber strap. I think its always good to have it and i heard the rubber strap is made pretty well. Then afterwards i can find some nice leather straps a black and a brown, maybe a grey distressed from mario paci
It doesnt make sense for me the get the replica black leather if its not that good, so ill get the rubber!

I will be sending money thru western union tonight,,,, woohoo ill get my watch soon hopefully in a week!

I thought rep Asso only cost 10-20$ more? Im not really into the rep asso color. For brown i think i like darker richer colors

I can vouch for bakeka all the way, he's by far my favourite
If you take a look in his section I posted some of the straps he did for me.

On a side note, if you're interested in a croc strap you should check Orloff straps, really great quality and fair price.

And I second the straps of Alfio, he does an AMAZING job and its easy to work/communicate with him!

Just received my first PAM last week (also the 111 nv3). Ordered with the rubber strap and I'm perfectly happy with it. I'm a HUGE baseball guy and I custom ordered a strap made from my grandfathers old baseball glove. It should be arriving in a few days- very excited to see the finished result.

Update....

I paid for my PAM111v3noob with rubber strap, waiting for QC pictures!
I was looking for a nice black strap originally but instead went with a brown strap first! After looking at soo many pictures of different straps, i went with SNPR straps Horween padded derby brown nut. Really looking forward to getting it!

I dont know too much about leather but anyone know the differences between the black leathers? Really like the look of toshis black leather, looks smooth to the touch and his work is very clean. Bakeka and snpr straps black leather looks a bit more wax and oily? Anyone know the difference between the leathers and which one might age/wear better?

Also really like the look of nubuck leather strap. I guess its almost like suede? Anyone know a custom strap maker that has this material? Mario paci makes it but its expensive!

karesz501, i was thinking of getting Asso in the beginning too, but i still think a custom brown strap would look better and wasnt sure how long it would get the rep asso to patina. Now i have rubber and snpr padded horween derby brown nut!
