Getting a gen SevenFriday... But concerned for a rep..

I might get a Decent deal on a SevenFriday. However, I'm concerned for it to be fake.. Is there any seven Friday expert out there that can help me? I don't have access to a computer to search around right now.. .

Aren't the movements in the gen and rep the same? Miyota? I'd stay away from gens unless you're getting an absolutely steal.

I think It was a to good to be true situation.. I could have had it for 350ish. Plus shipping from Japan. I saw one in WUS for 500 so I looked to see why they dropped in price. (Clearly because no one wants one)

Just get a rep man! For $200 they are so good that except warranty card, I can't see a reason why anyone would get a gen. I'm not sure if I would even pay $500 for a gen.

Haha that's true! I can't even recognize which is which. I had P1-1 and P3 BB and I miss them both so much. I think I will get P1-1 again in near future but gen rubber will be a must since rep is dust magnet. Leather is one of the best rep leather strap I have ever seen but I just prefer it on rubber.

The reps of these things are so damn good that if I were buying a gen the ONLY place I'd buy one is an AD and TBH I doubt even they would know if they had "bad" stock. I'm 90% positive the rep and gen come out different ends of the same factory.

I agree. I've spent my time searching eBay and a TDs site., they look identical. Might as well save the money, and get something I can be sure of as a known rep! At an AD, they want 1k plus here in Manhattan!! It wouldn't surprise me if they all came out of the same factory. I was told once if I wanted to have something manufactured in China, that I can count on it being sold off the side as well..

Not true.. Indonesia market is a crazy market for seven friday. The maker of seven friday can even afford to buy the whole seven friday factory. Thats what rumors sayi in Guangzhou.
