I have this Getat gold sterile dial I got a couple of weeks ago. I love it. I don't wear it too much, because it is gold colored, which is kinda dressy for me. I already started collecting bands for it. (See picks below).
My question is this: it is an manual wind, and no matter how many turns of the winder, there is no stiffening, or increased resistance, telling me to stop winding. Nevertheless, it works fine, and the power reserve is great. I wind it about 40 or 50 turns (but turns are a bit less then full, with the crown guard and all).
Anyway, is this normal, does it matter (doesn't seem to, but is there any occult effects from over-winding a hand-wind)?
Some quick and dirty cell phone pics:
Here's one with a new burgundy strap:
Got it on a sweet brandy colored hornback atm, but no pics yet. Also got a black pvd with orange "numbrels," as Tat calls them, on the way.
