I don't know pams, but that does seem like allot.. :? if you already have the gen movement then it's probably a fair deal.

How can you tell this ones gen?

NO genuine movement, i do have a gen dial and hands for a Pam03 that i could use? He also has a gen 7750 movement for $1300 thou... i originally was thinking about that piece then he dropped this on me....

The 118 case is not made to take the 7750 it is set up for the 6497 movement.

IMHO - unless you can get really nice movement and crystals, and PERFECT dial, lume, and hands, don't bother...that's either half the price of a used gen, or 5 nice reps...Plus, a 1:1 rep Ti case is prolly one of the easier components to duplicate...crown and CG are a bit tougher, but still possible....I'd worry about spending that much on a case set only to end up with a crappy dial or lume...put the $1600 in your gen fund cookie jar, and get a nice DSN 177 or 55 to tide you over...

DU121, I'm sure Beans knows that.

I think that's too much for a gen case, Beano. The 003 dial/hands in the Ti case would be fantasy, right? I'd stick with your JimmyFu case. The gen movement, on the other hand, might be worth it. That would make for a nice 196 franken-watch.

Without a gen movement It will always be a frankenwatch IMHO.

And thats a lot of money for a frankenwatch, I would go for the rep with gen dial and hands
(but maybe you allready have that?)

yes my pam03 project is complete just waiting for the parts to arrive to be assembled.. and your right originally he told me he had the ti case, dial and hands for that price then he came back and said sorry its only for the case.... i was thinking about the movement as that would be a sweet to have that.. but your right at that price im half way to a base model gen.. im trying to see if he can source the gen movement that would be something to get... more to come for sure.. oh by the way I have started a project with my source im seeing if he can copy the jimmy fu crown guards the min order qty is 1000 pcs so more to come but that will be a differnt post all togehter... just trying to contribute to my fellow collectors... and no the price will not be $89 each.....
