Hi all,

I'm interested in the Tudor Snowflake for sale by Lunar Oyster.

http://www.lunaroyster.com/watches/1972-tudor-submariner-70210-blue-snowflake-date

I asked for a picture of the 7 on the date wheel and a timegraph of the movement. He is selling it for $4,000.

Few questions for my RWI friends:

1) Is this a gen watch? (I know the seller has a great reputation, but I want to verify this watch is 100% genuine)
2) Is the watch and its condition worth $4,000?
3) I see that the movement is running 88s/d at 236 degrees amplitude. Any reason for concern on this? I assume it requires a full service.

Right lugs look thin, heavily polished. Looks all gen to me

Why are these Snowflakes so expensive now days? I commonly see them for $4,000 to $7,000 on watchrecon.com

Are these normal prices for a genuine Snowflake?

Unfortunately yes they are. The prices have been going up the past few years. The no date ones go for even more.

Always ask for movement pics also. This appears to be all gen with a replaced/service(?) insert

88s / day, it's more than a service, something wrong with this movement.
