An almost gen Great White (the innards anyway) is brewing !
It was about £370 posted to the UK, which while it was the max I was prepared to pay, when you add up the movement and gen hands from Ofrei it's still a bargain. I plan to see what the dial is like and if it is not very good I will order a gen dial from Ofrei.
That's 2 1128 movements I now have. One is going in the great white case and will have a leather Hirsch curved end strap (not decided between black and brown yet) and the other is going into a Rolex GMT IIc which is currently en-route from ShineWatch.
I have a GMT fetish, but they have to have a jumping hour hand but the CHS clone movements are too unreliable and the date changes with the GMT hand which is a pain. Hence the 1128's, they operate as a "true" gmt should and they are, in theory, fairly straight forward to swap with a 2836 clone GMT movement.
