Gen Panerai Band

I was just wondering. I just got a genuine Panerai Croc band. Used, of course, therefore the finish in the croc is kind of dull, except where it was covered my the deployant buckle. Anyone have any ideas on how to clean it to bring back its original look?

There are two finishes on the Panerai OEM croc bands. One is called semi-matte (probably the one you have) and it's just that; semi-matte. You can improve the luster of this band with a very small amount of shoe polish. Tan would work best but make sure not to get it on the lighter stitching. Use a Q-tip to apply the polish and an old t-shirt or soft cloth to polish.

The other finish is called brilliant. It is very shiny, like patent leather.

Thanks dvburns, it looks like the semi matte finish, not too shiny, but not exactly matte. I'll give the shoe polish a try. Let's see!

It is a GEN band, maybe I can live with the way it is. I just wanted to use something to clean it up a bit, especially the underside.
