How good is the lume on a Gen Panerai? Has anyone ever compared it to a modded rep's lume?

TIA

What would you expect to be better? Tritec C3 or Tritec C3?

Well the reason I ask is because my friend has a DSN modded Pam, and the lume on my $200 Citizen is twice as bright and lasts longer. Are you sure they use Tritec C3? Anyone?

TIA.

Don´t know what Davidsen uses, but heard that Ziggy uses C3, Vac uses his special cocktail of different lumes to get closest colour and glow, based on C3. Perhaps we can get more info on this topic from the relumers?

Well, keep in mind that a lot of the intensity and longevity of the glow has to do with how thick the lume is applied. The more lume that's there, the more light energy that can be stored. Sandwich dials will glow more, since you can put the lume on thicker. On sausage dials, there is only so much that you can do.

Went to GTG and saw Golfman's genuine 111. It's definitely C3.

What series is Golfman's 111, taka? My gen I series 210 is definitely not straight C3. It's much too white to be just C3. It has to be a mix of some sort, as it glows stronger than my Damasko DC57 did, which was a full lume dial using C1.

I am not too sure but it's very recent. Probably I or later... Maybe we can ask him. But the glow... It does glow greenish like C3 not bluish greenish like C1.

Thanks for the response, I'm going to snap a pic of what I'm talking about later tonight. The Citizen lume doesn't seem to be applied very thickly, and the PAM has a sandwich dial.
