Gen face swap?

Has anyone swapped, or have feedback on the feasibility to swap a genuine panerai dial? Does anyone on here have the ability to source a PAM 005 sausage dial?

Searching doesn't seem to be pulling anything in particular up.

I've been interested in it as well (for my Rad), but gave up hope because I was told that the sec hand was misaligned to match with gen...

on most pams this is very possible.
and on the 005, I'd say it's certainly possible.

however...

hold your horses, a new 005 is coming out very soon, and I'm betting the dial
is going to be one of the highlights of the rep, sure to be the best 005 rep dial
every produced.

its def possible to put a gen dial on a rep, however, most of the time it will def not be a perfect fit and some modding is needed.

OEM 005 sausage dials are rather rare but you could try your luck on ebay from certain dealers or some geeks on RG etc.

PS: it aint cheap...

Yeah, I have been watching the "1-1" PAM feeler thread, and noted the particular interest in what I'd agree to be the best/easiest candidate (005). However, as I noted in that thread, I'm still a bit skeptical in regards to them getting the discrepancies in the "PANERAI" and "LUMINOR MARINA" type, and logo etc corrected to be "1-1" spot on.

Like I said... hope they do it, won't hold my breath.

fit is not a problem as mentioned but good luck sourcing one of those. You have a better chance getting something more common like a 111 or so

Also expect to pay $800+ for a gen dial!!
