Hi All,
Reading other threads I am seeing there is a possible size difference in the hands on a GEN VS A2892. Can anybody who has made the swap go into this with further detail? Also has anybody swapped a SOPROD A10-2 into a REP case. Dose anyone have preference over ETA or SOPROD? I am looking at a Mark XVIII IW327006 Titanium V7F.
THanks in advance for any input.

If I recall correctly the a10-2 is a drop in replacement for the ETA as it share dimensions and dial feet locations. Haven’t tried it myself though. You should also be able to source some gen hands on chrono 24 or the like if you really notice a difference. They should be an easy swap.

Best of luck on your project.

Hi RDRoss,

I searched the forum and found the following:
"The gen ETA will fit the case perfectly, its the hands that can be the problem. Asian movements seems to have smaller pins for the hands in my experience. But the hands can be modded but its hard without scratching them." I had YODOG modify hands on a GEN 7750 in the past. I'll ask him. The watch is heritage so the hands are different from the regular Mark XVII hands. No luck finding them on the internet. Know anyone with access to GEN IWC parts?
Thanks!

Just so I get attributions right the quote "The gen ETA will fit the case perfectly, its the hands that can be the problem. Asian movements seems to have smaller pins for the hands in my experience. But the hands can be modded but its hard without scratching them." was from @santre22
