Gen crown for 183

Is it possible to install a gen crown to my DSN 183?
Does anyone know where can I find one and what would be the cost of it?

On e-bay (not sure if they're still available), this one seller used to offer gen crowns for historic Luminor Pams, meaning 44mm pams with crown guards for about 99 dollars. I am not sure if you can purchase one for 183 (I am also guessing that it probably won't be easy to fit it).

Based on my understanding, crown is not really an issue in terms of visual (rep vs gen), or what is causing the strip problem (it's the crown tube threads stripping).

Actually I was thinking if I could change both the crown and the crown tube.

Other can add on, but again, I think supply is the issue.

I guess, if you do manage to find one, it's easier to mod the case to fit the tube and install the crown.

I have never seen this part available anywhere, and I am 99% sure it's the same for others.

i had my gen apart last week to clean it.. the stem and crown is integrated into one unit. not like the reps use seperate stem and crown. adam co on ebay may have it but i doubt it. the gen assembly is just so nice to screw down. butter smooth

if yours is just stripped davidsen has the tube/crown assemblys and they fit every one i replaced without trouble. i have a bunch of them here. comes in handy.

It is not stripped (yet). The watch is 2 months old.
I was thinking of that mod, just for appearance and avoid stripping in the future...
