IMG_5344.jpg IMG_5346.jpg Gents- contemplating a second hand 312 n series and was hoping someone might be able to help me confirm whether it is gen or not by taking a look at the pics attached.

Will also meet the seller tomorrow- is there anything i need to watch out for? So far the details i know of which pertain to gen only are 1) hour hand jumps like a gmt hand and 2) slow change date. Anything else i should be aware of?

Thanks for the help in advance!

Movement looks gen to me. It's definitely not the VSF clone P9000.

Regarding gen only features, when the crown is fully pulled out (hacked) on the gen, the second hand resets to 12.

The rep VSF clone P.9000 movement has not been updated to V2 like the P.9001 so it does not have any gen functions. Moreover, even if by some outlandish chance this seller got hold of a never been seen V2 P.9000 clone movement, it should still not have the hackable seconds function mentioned above.

But the movement looks like gen. You just have to confirm the functions as you are dealing with a complete stranger and you could have been provided a gen picture then do the swap when you deal in person.

Can someone please confirm if all pam 312's have that hacking function? The seller's second hand did not reset to zero when the crown is pulled all the way out. Not sure if there is a difference between older v newer series? This was an N series (2011).

Everything else was ok though (matching movement/case serial numbers to papers, jumping hour hands etc...)

Thanks again

After more research, I think the resetting second hand is only on the P9001 not the P9000.

Here is a PAM392 with the P9000 (same as the 312) and if you look at approx 4:25 the second hand does not reset when the crown is pulled out.
