Hi all,
I had purchased a tap that was supposedly a Rolex case tube tap. It, however doesn’t match my new in blister 7030 gen tube. The tap is a M3 x.35, however I’ve since read that it should actually be M3 x.3. I have had absolutely no luck finding a tap that size. Can anyone confirm that .3 is the right pitch, and a source to find one? Would be greatly appreciated.

The tap size is M3 x 3.5 as you said, but there are genuine Rolex tubes out there that don't fit this tap size - they're about 0.2mm too wide.

Run the tap tool through the hole several times using a light oil as lubricant until it screws through with little to no resistance. Lubricate the tube threads and gently screw it in to the case, backing it out and screwing it down the same way you'd do with the tap tool. It'll eventually screw down, but don't force it as the tube will snap at the base, which isn't fun trying to get out.
