I've just received a Franken 16610 with a gen clasp. It's a 93150 X7 stamped item. It's the first time any clasp on my reps/Frankens has been gen, so I was a bit disappointed to find that it doesn't close properly (or rather, it doesn't click in place the same as my rep clasps)! Normally you close the clasp and it clicks shut (the end of the clasp snaps onto the hinge of the small secondary locking flap). On mine, that initial clipping of the clasp over the hinge doesn't happen - the tabs don't click over the hinge and grip it. So it's only secured when I close the small flap over the main clasp.

Is this quite normal for an older Sub clasp? And if so, can I fix it by just bending the tabs inwards a little?

I don't want to do this if it's not going to help, or isn't meant to clip on this clasp, or I risk snapping the tabs!

Appreciate any comments/assistance from you RWI clever bods.

No, I wouldn't bend them teeth,

try bending the clasp arm more straighter to have a longer length of it so the two teeth could possibly latch

Absolutely blooming perfect, lawlessflyer - I watched a couple of minutes of the video, followed his instruction to add a little more curve to the "inner" of the two hinge sections, and now my gen clasp is clasping like a pro. Thanks buddy!

Glad you got it to work! Your very welcome glad to help :)
