Here is the official thread for our next project. For some of you more discerning collectors, you will already know of the history of the Mille Metri. It was a watch that was never made by Pam and considered one of the truly holy grails for Pam collectors. Here's a picture for those uninformed:

Rahmen_Bild_VP2_34.jpg

A replica of this was made in a very small quantity but I always felt that it was a little too huge for the average person. So the task was to create something similar but smaller. We also didn't want to copy the crown lever/ protector as that is trademarked and we don't want any future hassles. So here is 'our' take. No prizes for guessing which other brand it replicates as well.

1) Caseset will be 45mm ex crown/ CG.
2) Caseset will be in Titanium
3) Glass will be plexi/ acrylic. 6mm thick and single sided dome
4) WR will be to 100atm, we will test this on the sample and confirm.
5) There will be 3 different dial designs, a standard sterile dial in black, and a burnt red sterile dial and a cali dial. Sandwiched construction.
6) Complete watches will be built with Seagull TY2130 movement with date. We will regulate to +/-10s, 0.0-0.2BE before shipping.

Details about pre-order, pricing etc, will be done on the new website we are building for these homages. Expect about 6 months for the completion and delivery of these watches.

Interesting chunky design. This is acutely quite original and creative. These could be produced as "boutique watches" and sold with whatever brand you put on it.

I always thought the MM was my trail too, then I wore one and that was that. ;) same with the Egi.

Good luck with this project. It looks great and promising.

I am definitely in! They look a lot like Ennebi watches...but those are always out of stock and are incredibly expensive for what they are.... If yours is a more affordable alternative it's going to be a huge hit!

Could be interesting. Wish there could be a dial run with OP on it like the original MM

Ah.... haven't been following this thread because I've been busy finishing up the AP cases. Here's an update for the watch:

1) We have ordered the same specification for the rubber o-rings in red slicone
2) We have ordered the spring energised lip seals for the crown
3) We have to change the specification to a sapphire glass as our quantity is too small to do acrylic. However we may change this if we feel a need to and there are violent objections to sapphire...
4) We have to change the wave washer design to a regular wave washer as the fingered washer is too expensive to manufacture.

Dials have been confirmed and are 2 piece sandwich dials instead of the regular printed ones. There will be no shortage of dial alternatives once these come out and you guys can go nuts engraving whatever you want on those.

We hope to be able to finish the caseset sample end January after we are done with the APROO casesets....sorry capacity is full atm.

Well, o-rings, and energised lip seals are done. I know this is not much but it's a start. Case sample won't be done until end January it seems as we are trying to rush out other cases first for end of the year launches.

How will this work? A website order? Pre order via forums? TD?

I am VERY interested in this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd have to destro it though. :) You have a solid commitment here. I'm a stick guy, so I'd probably have to look around for a custom dial- no offense to PAM owners who still need numbers to tell time, that's just my personal preference. :D

I know it's not accurate, but I don't suppose a bronze version could be considered?

A bronze version is definitely planned for a future release. The first version is going to be ti because that is what many people want. A bronze is just an easy material swap.

We are still looking into getting plexis made instead of sapphires as we feel plexi gives a softer look. Case sample won't be ready until end of January as we are rushing other models now for end of the year.
