FYI- WSO Pam088 Crystal Poor Fit

This is my first PSA,
I purchased a replacement xtal from WSO for my PAM088 and after installation the xtal was too tall. Had the xtal removed to compare them, and the new one is 3mm thick vs the original one being 2mm. The other dimensions are correct with the exception of the thickness, WSO does not offer a xtal with the correct thickness for the 088.

That's sad to hear. Well since there is more than one version of the PAM088, which one do you have?

From what's known, only DSN made an F-series PAM088. Noob only made an O-series version. So the crystal disparity might be because of the factory. To say WSO doesn't offer a crystal with the correct thickness for the PAM088 can be incorrect. WSO may be selling a crystal that can fit a gen PAM088 (since they are in the business of providing aftermarket parts for gen watches not reps), it's only that the factory that made your particular watch did not follow gen specs as much as we'd like it to.

Well Damn! It’s not what I paid for, but I still like the watch, maybe I’ll send the Xtal to prof and see what he can do with it.

You can surely find some 2mm cristals with cyclop. Or have it made on order! Prof is anyhow a safe way when it comes To cristal !
