hi there guys just thought i would show you the results of my fully brushed skyland avenger. i removed the pushers and pusher housings to get a proper smooth brushed line effect across the side of the case. i attached the caseback to a small drill for rotation to get the perfect brushed effect on the caseback. i also bent the ratchet spring tabs up and the ends to a vertical angle, this gave the bezel a much tighter feel and the click is really crisp. now i just need a code yellow dial and hands and she will look amazing! here are some pics. i will be doing a super avenger aswell soon cant wait.

Although I'm not a fan of a brushed skyland, that one looks impressive. Were the serial numbers removed from the caseback?

thanks it was hard work. i wasnt a fan either untill i saw a fully brushed code yellow at the AD. the serial is still there, must be the angle of the photo. im actually surprised i thought it would have brushed right off.

well i had the case spare so just had to pop the pushers out. i recommend you use a proper case tube remover because the way i did it can damage the inside of the pusher housing making it hard to get the actual pushers back in. all up the brushing took a couple hours to get it really uniform and the strokes nice and straight.

How did you get the caseback to stick to the drill?

So are those housings for the pushers just jammed into the case? not screwed in? And th get them out you just tapped it from the inside?

Im just thinking in terms of waterproffing one of these, there doenst seem to be any seal.

i used a small cordless drill with a flat driver bit holder, i just put a little bit of adhesive on the holder and measured off the centre, it stuck on really well then just cleaned the glue off after with some acetone.

yeah they are just pressed in not screwed in so i also used some gel adheasive when re-installing just make it more water resistant. one of the pushers popped out very easily and the other was hard to tap out. the pusher guard is two parts so when tapping them back in use a punch the same size as the tube in the center. if you use something flat that strikes the guard first it can move it down the pusher tube wich will lead to your pushers sticking out to far and the might not reach the points of contact for the chrono function. just take note of the pusher tube depth in the guard before you start.

The reason I don't wear my breitlings is because they are too blingy - I love that brushed look !
