Today I have for sale my Cartier Santos 100 XL. Please mind this is not the current Santos de Cartier or the Dumont model. Is the “old” 100 that was released in 2004 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first Santos, a watch that is considered to be the first wristwatch, devised that year under the request of Mr. Dumont, an aircraft pilot.
My understanding is that there is no factory currently with a 100 in production, so M2M is the only way to get hold of one.
Also beware: this is a big watch! The 100 XL case is 38mm x 51mm, as big as a Garmin Fenix 8! It’s a “solo tempo” automatic and could be also manually wound in the zero position. The dial is white and elegantly chiselled.
I have no clue of the factory that made it or of the movement inside, I have tried to trace back its origin and I believe this was purchased directly from Narikaa around 2010. It has been worn a few times and has some sign on it (biggest one being on the lower side of the shiny bezel) but overall it is in great shape as you can tell from the pictures (btw, first time using my Alix lightbox!). Comes with the original (rep) leather strap and signed deplo clasp (I have never attempted to change the strap even though I have seen on the forum that it could be a decent “strap monster”). Caseback is perfect but the engraving is faint.
Taking in consideration the no factory name and the conditions I am looking at only 120€ including shipping in EU.
