Hi All,

Just working on my Franken UPO, have fitted the movement back into the case with gen hands and dial.

I've already fitted a gen crown and tube (http://du110w.dub110.mail.live.com/m/folders.m?fid=00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000001), when re-assembling I've found the stem appears to be too short.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any recommendations for where I can buy a longer stem (can't find them for an ETA2824-2 on CousinsUK website)?

Many thanks,

-OW

You should be able to find them on ofrei or on eBay..(always buy a few extras)
What works for me is to put the caliper on the overall length of the rep stem and crown I'm replacing as well as the overall length of the crown.
I've never done a UPO but on the 42mm PO the overall length of the tip of the stem to the face of the gen crown was 19.8mm...if my memory serves me well.
What's it doing to indicate it's too short??...winding while it's screwing in ?
Maybe you could still use the stem from the rep crown if it's still intact ???

The UPO needs the 20MM X long ETA stem. Add the crown and you are over 20MM. Correcttime is correct on the 19.8 overall length for the 42MM.

Otto has them, but only their TZ school site.
